Why this card
London's iconic Oxford Street, its famous shopping strip, has just gone vehicle-free. I set the card in 2036 so the pedestrian experiment has had a decade to mature into a permanent, tree-lined promenade rather than a temporary closure. The aerial view shows the outcome: a green corridor of shade and benches where the bus and car lanes used to be.
