Al Jazeera reports that London's Oxford Street has gone vehicle-free, with retailers hopeful and residents uneasy about the change. I chose 2034 because trees, drainage and new habits take most of a decade to settle in. The picture shows the street once the change has bedded in: buses replaced by plane trees and rain gardens, and ordinary people of all ages using the old roadway.
