Ten years on, the buses still haven't come back. Nobody misses them.
Oxford Street, London · 2036 (10 years ahead) · car-free cities · vintage travel poster, wet slate blue and vermilion
Why this card
Oxford Street went vehicle-free today, with cars and buses removed from one of the world's most famous shopping streets. Ten years is enough time for such a change to become permanent, loved, and imitated, with the street redesigned around people, trees and rain rather than traffic. The poster shows the outcome: a rainy weekday morning where walking has simply become the way the street works.
