Why this card
A Massachusetts ballot measure asks voters to require towns to allow smaller, cheaper homes on smaller lots, part of a multi-state push against a housing shortage. I set the card in 2036, ten years on, to show a shortage eased rather than a law just passed. The isometric neighborhood of modest starter homes, with a couple carrying their first box, shows the outcome: a town that made room for people starting out.
