Why this card
Massachusetts voters are deciding whether cities and towns must allow smaller, cheaper starter homes on smaller lots to ease the housing shortage. I chose 2036, ten years on, when such a reform would have visibly reshaped a typical town. The picture shows gentle density: a compact new cottage woven in beside an older Victorian, young families able to move in, kids walking to school on their own street.
