Why this card
A Mongabay story reports that spinning buoys with big eyes, plus kites, keep seabirds out of fishing nets off Cornwall. I chose 2033 because a cheap, proven fix like this could plausibly become standard gear across inshore fleets within a few years. The picture shows that ordinary future: a working boat, a line of staring buoys, birds veering off, and a net holding only fish.
