Volunteers have planted nearly half a million trees and thousands of metres of hedgerow in two seasons, a quiet, structural repair of Britain's fragmented farmland. Fifteen years on, those plantings have matured into connected young woodland and hedge corridors. The linocut shows the outcome directly: fields linked by living green latticework rather than bare boundaries.
