Why this card
A family of barn owls nested in a Manhattan water tower and New Yorkers fell for them. I set the card ten years out because urban wildlife recovery compounds slowly but visibly, and one well-watched nest can seed a resident population. The picture shows the outcome: owls woven into the rooftop skyline, a wild heartbeat settled into the city rather than a one-off novelty.
