All cards · October 15, 2026 · from the year 2033

Saturday came back, and stayed for lunch.
Recife, northeast Brazil · 2033 (7 years ahead) · working hours · Brazilian cordel woodcut, black ink with bright flat colour
Why this card
Brazil's Congress approved a constitutional amendment banning six-day workweeks and capping work at 40 hours, which could affect up to 30 million people. I chose 2033 because labour reforms take several years to settle into daily life, long enough for a free Saturday to feel normal. The picture shows the result instead of the vote: a whole street of working families with a real day off together, drawn in Brazil's own cordel woodcut tradition.
