Why this card
An expedition is en route to a remote island hoping to finally locate Amelia Earhart's lost plane after 89 years. I chose 2036, near the centenary of her 1937 disappearance, allowing time for the search to succeed and the wreck to be recovered and conserved. The picture shows the mystery closed: the weathered Electra hanging restored in a little atoll museum that opens onto the same lagoon that hid it.
