The peat sleeps cold again, watched by small patient wings.

Why this card
BBC reported drones hunting smoldering hotspots still burning beneath the Cairngorms after July's huge wildfire. Ten years on, I show routine autonomous peat patrols catching buried embers early, letting the damaged blanket bog heal. The linocut's carved stillness suits a story about patient ecological repair rather than dramatic flames.
