The fence came down; the paddling came back.
Plymouth Sound, Devon · 2032 (6 years ahead) · public beach reopening · 1950s railway travel poster, flat lithograph
Why this card
A beloved beach in Plymouth has been fenced off since July over an unexplained asbestos find, and residents are demanding answers. A cleanup and reopening is a local-scale fix, so 2032 gives time for testing, removal and a few clean summers. The poster shows the fence panels rolled away on a cart while families paddle and picnic on the shingle again.
