Why this card
Today's BBC article reports AI used to survey rare woodland bats, describing it as a 'nice story of AI for good'. The enabling change builds on plant alarm system research also reported today: Indian scientists found a new gateway in how plants sense and respond to insect attack. From that research capability flows the ability to coordinate defensive signals across whole regions. The 2034 date allows time for this plant communication technology to mature from discovery into practical, region-wide agricultural deployment. What you see is the consequence: crops with enhanced coordination systems, no longer isolated from threats or dependent solely on intervention.
