Why this card
Wales has begun consulting on an 'undergrounding-first approach' to electricity lines, aiming to remove steel pylons from the landscape. I chose 2035 because burying high-voltage transmission takes roughly a decade to plan and dig. The cutaway shows the same valleys still powered, but with the cables hidden beneath the turf and the skyline empty of towers.
