Gathered as seeds, now holding the hillside together.
Cumbrian fells, England · 2041 (15 years ahead) · alpine plant restoration · macro nature photograph, misty dawn
Why this card
The BBC reported a £65,000 three-year project to collect seeds of rare arctic-alpine plants and replant them in the fells. I chose 2041, fifteen years on, to give slow-growing mountain flowers time to establish. The image shows that future hillside thriving, the saved seeds now anchoring soil and bloom.
