The moon pays the electric bill now.
A British coastal town · 2036 (10 years ahead) · tidal energy · isometric cutaway diagram, marine blue and warm amber
Why this card
The BBC reported on engineer David Mummery's tidal energy generator, designed to bring cheap, reliable power to coastal communities that the grid has long neglected. I chose 2036 because tidal tech needs roughly a decade to move from prototype to working harbourside deployment. The cutaway shows the outcome: a turbine quietly spinning under the quay while the town above glows, the whole picture held together by the moon that drives the tide.
