The clearance maps finally ran out of red.
Brazilian Amazon · 2046 (20 years ahead) · Amazon deforestation · ukiyo-e inspired woodblock, deep green and rain-grey
Why this card
Brazil's Amazon deforestation fell to its lowest level since records began in 1988, a hard-won policy success. Twenty years is the right horizon for a rainforest to visibly heal: cleared scars reabsorbed by young forest and a river economy built on standing trees rather than felled ones. The woodblock rain scene shows the forest mid-recovery, regrowing over old pastures.
