Why this card
A new team has been formed to protect an Antarctic port, home to the world's southernmost post office, from climate change. Eight years is about right for shoreline defenses and raised foundations to be built and settled in. The picture shows the little post-office hut still open, lifted onto new stone footings behind a boulder bank, with mail waiting and penguins carrying on around it.
